Maya Ragazzo is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles and is known for her versatile creative skills that span across various mediums. She recieved her BFA from MICA in 2016. From CNC operator and professional model maker to chandelier builder and experimental stop-motion animator, Maya has made a career out of niche professions. Most recently, Maya received the Anthropologie x YoungArts Leading with Creativity award, granting her the opportunity to design, manufacture, and sell an apparel line through Anthropologie's online marketplace.

In her personal artistic endeavors, Maya delves into the intricacies of identity, mysticism, and isolated intimacy through her artistic expressions. Drawing inspiration from folk art, she curates a distinctive collection of recurring characters and motifs that resonate with the shared threads of human existence. Maya's upcoming series aims to explore the nuanced landscape of the human psyche, providing a visually comforting space for navigating the complexities of the mind and the subtleties of madness. This interest in madness was sparked after Maya experienced a psychotic episode in 2020, which deepened her understanding of the human condition and ignited her interest in how art can help prevent psychosis in those who are susceptible.
